Dionne Miller

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate
Compassionate Support for Life's Transitions

Dionne Miller

I support couples and individuals moving through the hardest seasons of transition—pre-marital shifts, new marriage, parenting changes, empty nesting, retirement, and the deep pain of betrayal.

My work is especially helpful for Gen X and Millennial adults who want a grounded, compassionate, and structured approach that brings emotional safety and real tools for healing.

I love this work because I get to bring structure to emotional chaos, safety to painful conversations, and clarity to moments that feel overwhelming. I love giving people real tools they can actually use, not just insight that sounds good in session.

The couples I work with often feel:

  • They won't survive the betrayal and wonder if they will ever feel safe again.

  • A sense that "Everything is changing at once," and they're not equipped for it.

  • They want to change, but they don't know how.

  • Terrified that the relationship is too broken.

  • Major hormonal, career, or relational shifts are affecting their connection.

What It's Like To Work With Me

Working with me feels safe, structured, and deeply human. I will guide you, not judge you. You will find a space with me where you can breathe again, say the things you've been afraid to say, and feel genuinely supported in learning new ways of relating.

Structured and Directive

I will lead, guide, and coach you! Our sessions will provide real-life tools and homework that actually help, direct feedback when needed, and a space that is active and intentional.

Attachment-Focused and Trauma-Informed

I help individuals and couples understand what is underneath their reactions. Our work will teach you how to stay present in conflict, respond instead of reacting, create emotional safety, and repair in a way that sticks.

Warm, Empathic, and Real

My work involves humor, authenticity, deep empathy, and being a real human in the room with you. I bring a "we're in this together" energy to help you feel seen, accepted, and understood.

Systemic and Strategic

While we work together, I look for patterns, power dynamics, attachment cycles, and system-level blockers that will help you break through the patterns blocking you from connection. We not only process your emotions; you learn exactly how to change your relationship dynamic for the better.

I will meet you where you are at, bring my decades of lived experience with directness and kindness, provide real tools and not just insights, and blend emotional healing with cognitive structure.

Why I Do This Work

For many years, becoming a couples therapist was a dream that felt out of reach. After raising two children, caring for an elderly family member, and pursuing careers in the corporate world and the healing arts, the time finally came for me to follow my passion. In 2021, I began my journey towards earning a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and entering into the therapy world with a passion to support individuals and couples.

With 30+ years of marriage, I have lived through transitions that brought both joy and challenge. My lived experience enriches my work, helping me connect with clients on a deeper level and guide them towards meaningful growth.

I do this work because relationships are the foundation of everything—from our sense of self to the stability of our families. I became a couples therapist because I wanted to help people break the cycles I saw growing up: disconnect, betrayal, emotional distance, and the ripple effect those patterns have on children.

My purpose is to help partners heal attachment wounds, navigate major life transitions, and rebuild trust in a way that feels grounded, compassionate, and real.

I’m driven by the belief that people can change, relationships can recover, and families can thrive when couples learn the tools they were never taught.

Helping couples go from crisis to clarity—from barely holding on to building something stronger than before—is what keeps me passionate about this work.

Let's Work Together

I am passionate about helping couples become the best versions of themselves—individually and together. I’d love to hear your story and be part of your journey toward a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.
